Me: Why are we always buying our tree in the middle of a snowstorm?
Paul: Because we live in Minnesota.
Alex: (screaming and crying) It's too fat!!!
Alex: (screaming and crying) It's too skinny!!!
Home Depot Employee: Do you have any questions?
Paul: Do you know how to handle a 5-year old girl?
Avery: (not loving her puffy coat, trying to squirm out of my arms and run around in the snow, oblivious to the decorating of the tree [hallelujah], but cheering smiling and clapping along with the rest of us when we lit it up!)
Me: (not taking any chances) Higher! Put the ornaments up higher!
Noah: This is the best part of Christmas!
It smells like Christmas too : )
Now if I could just remember to water it this year...

Wow! You beat me to it! I have yet to drag your Dad out to get our tree. I wonder who is more difficult to be with when it comes to tree shopping - Alex or your Dad? - Your Dad SO HATES to get a Christmas tree. Some things never change :)
I love Noah's enthusiasm! It looks really good. I miss having a real tree. We gave in and took the fake John's parents offered us. I miss that smell but I never watered ours either and I don't miss vacuuming up those damn needles. Naomi would be eating them by the fistfuls!
I love you. I love the recap and I love your family. You guys are so funny. I think we'll be getting our tree tomorrow and we'll probably be sounding very similar! :)
Ha ha ha! Miss you!
I'm jealous you have a real tree and your house smells like it :( We have always had a fake. But I always tell Randy that the first year we decide not to travel for christmas, we are getting a real one!
I can totally picture Alex upset about the tree being "too fat" or "too skinny" lol, she's hilarious!
Christmas Trees are a stupid tradition.
