Aiming high

When Paul got home tonight he said, "I have a new goal.  SURVIVE.  Survive this year.  With a job."    I think I talked to him for a whopping 10 minutes before he totally crashed - can't blame him, the poor guy's got to be up at 4am.

(sidenote: I think I've done enough blogging today to last me about a week.  which is good because this week I have to prepare my first YW lesson, write and help Noah prepare for his first primary talk, and write my own 15-min talk for church on sunday!!!!?!)

you guys are going to do it! i know these first moments of adjusting are difficult, but you two are amazing and will finish in style! i know there must be some very difficult moments, but hang in there!:)
first of all, i agree with you on potty training...bee was WAY harder than brother...a total nightmare for me. i hope it's going well for you. i seriously DREAD potty training! it looks like you guys are having a lot of fun in your new place...that is awesome! your kids are at great ages right & for the next little bit where they will have an opportunity to really enjoy you and you them. i loved having my james & rebecca time while we were in cleveland...things change when you have a baby, so this is a great time for you to enjoy noah & alex for a while. you'll create a really neat bond as paul starts this first year. you are awesome...i admire you "single mothers" who do so much without a husband around! holy cow! good luck! i'm thinking of you!:)

Looks like they've put you to work in the ward already. They know not to waste such talent!!
Hope you guys survive the craziness of the first year! You'll make it, I'm sure.

Great goal, Paul! Seriously...if I were you I don't even know if I could aim THAT high!
I can't believe you have to talk in church on Sunday! :( That stinks, I am sorry. I am sure you will do great though! :)

summer! you look like your having so much fun in your new town! congrats! yea, i cant talk when it comes to the stress and time of a residency, but the kids i nannied, i think i told you this, their mom was doing hers, and i saw what she had to endure, and wow, i'm sure it cant be easy, but you are a wonderful woman and mom and for me, that year with the kids went by fast, so i hope it does for you and i know paul will do great! isn't it great when our husbands find a career they really love? jeff is so excited to start his job in september! also, we just had our little boy a week ago and im so happy to be a mom! check it out! i miss ya all the time and love catching up with you on your blog!

So, I just got caught up on everything and it looks like you guys have been busy, busy, busy! And if I know Paul and you, you guys will definitely be doing much more than surviving because you are both so amazing ;) But that is a good goal! The key to success is low expectations.... right? ;) And I bet your talk was awesome!
