Did ya know?

How many errands you can get done in 1 hour without the kids?
That leaving the kids with my post-call husband is pretty much like leaving them unattended (and I could probably get arrested)?  (Hey they were all asleep...'er in bed)
That Starbucks has a new flavor of hot chocolate? (Salted Caramel Signature Hot Chocolate)
That it's really yum?
How nice it is to walk around Target, said hot chocolate in hand, all by my-blesssed-self?
That when it's 9 degrees outside in Minnesota people say things to you like, "Isn't it nice out there tonight?"
That I smiled and agreed?
That I meant it?

Ahhh, life's simple pleasures

I've heard about that hot chocolate, I think I just might have to try some this weekend... at Target by myself... even better! :) I'm so glad you could get away for a little bit! :)

Ya post call is tricky! One time I left Samuel sleeping - told Pete, who was also sleeping. It was evening so I figured I was safe. Like an hour later pete called to see where I was!
It's great to enjoy simple pleasures :)

Oh my gosh Summer I totally wouldn't survive...and with a name like Summer--it's just not right. I don't envy you! Kiss the kiddos for me! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks :)

Summer, you're cute! It was good to see you the other day! I love reading your blog...so entertaining! And I have to ask what your thermostat is set at? Jeff tried to get me to turn ours down to 68 (just at night) but I said NO way. I still wear a sweater all around the house, and I don't go downstairs unless I have to...the upstairs is a firm 72 degrees...don't know how long that will last with our heating bill this month being 5 times higher than it was 2 months ago. And it wasn't even that cold then. I shudder to see next months bill.
