i HEART i-tunes

Favorite Christmas songs this year:

Summer - Silent Night, by Relient K
Paul - O Holy Night, by Avril Lavigne
Noah - The Little Drummer Boy, by Johhny Cash
Alex - The First Noel, by Leigh Nash

but we also heart:

It Came Upon a Midnight Clear, by Sixpence None The Richer
Mele Kalikimaka, by Chris Isaak
Frosty the Snowman, by Fiona Apple
God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman, by Barenaked Ladies
Breath of Heaven, by Amy Grant (Paul does not heart this one, just me and the kids)

(besides i-tunes) I Heart:
sledding with my kids
the kids singing Christmas songs all day, wrong words and all
hearing them tell each other the story of "jesus being born"
reading christmas books by the light of the tree every night before bed
hot chocolate everyday, multiple times a day
staying home for Christmas, first time in our marriage
Christmas countdowns: paper chains, scriptures, service activities, and carols every night

I HEART Christmastime!

I love all the Christmas things you're doing with the kids! We still need to put up my mom's Christmas tree while we're here, but you've given me more motivation:). Noah's party looked awesome! I'm sorry you had such an awful night with the sick kids-- yikes! Oh, and the new dresses look great!

I will never hear the Mele Kalikimaka song ever again without thinking of Paul and Greg :) Remember when Greg called Paul and sang the whole song on his voicemail while we were in Hawaii for Christmas? The very first special ornament Randy and I ever bought as a married couple was one from our honeymoon in Hawaii...and it is a christmas wreath with a ukelele in the middle and the words "Mele Kalikimaka" :) I love it!

I'm going to have to download some of those songs, I haven't heard a couple of them. I also second the multiple cups of hot chocolate a day, yummy! I'm going to need elastic pants not because I'm pregnant but because of all the treats I've been eating in the name of Christmastime :) I love this time of year!!!

I love the "genius" option that you showed us. I use it all the time now.
